Evaluation and Appraisal Reports (EAR)
Every seven years Alachua County and the City of Gainesville are required by the State of Florida to participate in a series of the public workshops designed to assess the successes and failures of the Comprehensive Plan. Women for Wise Growth has been involved in articulating issues that are of interest to our community for the process to ensure that future development is sustainable and promotes the quality of life for residents of Alachua County and Gainesville. Currently, Alachua County is working to incorporate Women for Wise Growth's recommendations, alongside important comments they have received from community members, through a series of public workshops (See the WWG calendar or the Alachua County EAR website for updated meetings). Approximately a year after Alachua County's EAR, the City of Gainesville will undergo the EAR process as well, so stay tuned for important upcoming public meetings.
